marvin ng. this post is for you.

In another 2 days, it would be our one month anniversary. Yes. ONE MONTH. *screams*

So what have we done in the past one month?

First date.

We went on an adventure cum photo shoot session at Pulau Ubin. But back then, we weren’t together. It was the first date. We were both “testing” each other’s water. We talked about the school, friends, love, family, work, photography, basically everything under the sun. We could talk about anything, without having to feel awkward about it. And after such a long day we still went for a movie – Fast and Furious 5. And you had watched it before.

Second date.

You came to pick me up at my house with Alexis (affectionate name for his Ford Focus) before heading to Serangoon Gardens for a checkup. And you drove me to AMK to have Teochew style dinner. Complete with HUGE pomfret, cabbages, beansprouts, chinese cabbages, fishcakes. And you really showed that you COULD eat. and we had our after-dinner walk at Bishan park.

Third date.

You came to pick me up again, with Alexis as usual. But this time its in the middle of the night! SO WE COULD WATCH THE SUNRISE TOGETHER. before I head to work. You only managed to book out on saturday morning  and I have to work in the afternoon. But something cropped up at work, and my work hours not only been brought forward and got extended as well. Couldnt get to watch the sunrise either. Because it was raining heavily. ARGH!

Fourth date.

This time, we checked the weather, decided on the place and time. Slept ALOT. Brought my 550D out. and yes. WE ARE GOING TO WATCH the sunrise again! While waiting in the car, we had our heart to heart talks. That brought us closer. And we got to understand each other better. Soon, sunrise was here. Sun was on the horizon and before i could get the settings right, the sun WAS ALREADY IN THE SKIES, SHINING BRIGHTLY. argh. I think i should have prepared more. nevermind. there’s more chances in future.

Fifth date.

Our first movie marathon! I had wanted to watch Kungfu Panda 2, and you had wanted to watch X-Men! And because it was during the school holidays and its a weekend, you had wanted to book online. But I said no, there’s UOB promotions, and I will head down after work on Friday to get the tickets first. You felt the pinch for me having to pay so much for the movie tickets, and so you offered to pick the tab for dinner! *sweet* We went Clarke Quay, your old workplace – Fremantle Seafood Market.  The sashimi, I must say was magnificent. It was the first time i had raw clams and the angelfish (forgot the name for it. Think it starts with a H) The teriyaki salmon was well cooked. and with caviar. OOSH. maximum shiokness. But sashimi, salmon and your fish&chips for 100+? kinda overpriced in my opinion. =X

Sixth date.

You had booked out on Thurs night. But I didn’t know and had scheduled work on Friday. You came to surprised me in the morning with your classic black framed specs and laokokkok (LKK) phone. I remembered having food tasting that day and I had wanted to stay back for it. After that you came and PICK ME UP to drive me home! And bought 2 bottles of ‘cooling tea for my cough. Barley and Chrysanthemum. I made noise having to drink it cos I dont really like to drink both of them (though i DO drink them, just put it this way, im fussy about which kind of barley/chrysanthemum tea is it.)

The next day you came to pick me up again with Alexis. We went Hougang Green for breakfast and off we go to Macritchie for the HSBC Treetop Walk – in slippers and sandals that is. Little did we know, to reach the treetop, we have to trek/walk 5KILOMETRES for it. and because it rained in the morning. The walkway was kind of wet and slippery. And you decided to head back home to change instead. >_< So first back to my house to change and to your house and THEN, back to Macritchie. Treetop was nothing special. But the 11KM walk was indeed a feat. Moreover we had never trained for it. I’m glad we managed to complete it together, with our hands held tight. We will have a long road of ahead of us. =)

Seventh date.

Had a short date on Friday because I had to be home to receive the SingTel modem.Managed to catch The Popper’s Penguins. and caught Green Lantern the next day. Nothing very special, just like a typical date. Went back to Sengkang to pick Alexis up. And off we go to Gain City to check out the stainless steel rice cookers for my parents. But turn out they dont carry stainless steel pots. We then drove to NEX mall for Courts. Turn out the queue for NEX mall carpark was beyond atrocious and had to park at the nearby HDB car parks. Since it was your first time, I brought you to Pet Safari and you met many of your favourite breed – POODLE. (I’m sorry but till now I can’t comprehend why would A GUY LIKE POODLES!) And while looking at a 6 mths of lab, we had to watch him/her vomit TWICE and he/she almost ate her own vomit. Ewks.

You had wanted to drive me to AMK, near your old house to try the Hokkien Mee there. But sadly the hawker centre was closed for renovation and so you decided to head to the one at Toa Payoh instead. Oyster Omelette, Char Kway Teow and Hokkien Mee. Dinner was so sinful lor! TSKTSK!

Sunday morning I finally agreed to see the doctor after the persistent cough never seem to go away after two weeks. And it gets worst at night. Baby came and pick me up again. Drove to Jalan Kayu TO EAT ROTI PRATA! All because I told him it had been ages since I last ate roti prata! And being a healthy living person, he decided to give in to me!!! HEHHEH! 23mins for my roti prata! end up was some miserable small piece, but luckily it was filling enough for me. Bought beancurd and mutton curry back for my parents and off to the doctors.

Aside to that, we had our first fight. Which I think I had took the words too seriously. But its okay. We made up already. =)

I had expected queue at the clinic. But surprisingly, there was none! The wait was barely 5mins. The doctor said my lungs are pretty sensitive. And I am to avoid all raw food, cooling and cold food/drinks for quite some time. Looks like I can’t drink anything cold and eat anything cooling for some time. Sighs.

- Pause -

In just one month, you have already brought me so much adventures and laughter. Always bring me to new places to eat. Always looking out for new places of adventures. And I certainly look forward to more exciting adventures with you.

To the many more month-anniversaries together. To the long road we shall walk with our hands held close.

Happy Anniversary, my dear Marvin. =)
