5 Happy Things.
I went for only 1 job interview today. As they urgently need a temporary staff to help lessen their workload, I was told to report work on Monday (YIPEE!!!) Which also means, I can reject the 2nd job interview.
The first job interview has better job prospects and I believe working at the Company, it is going to look good on my resume as well. It is also close to what I am looking for as well.
That is my first happy thing.
On my way to meet Shelin and Vanessa, not sure if they are working today, I met my ex-colleague from DynamicAsia, Wei Ming doing erm, charity sales with his leader and another observer. That’s our 1st meeting.
Shelin was not working, out with her friend. Vanessa was too busy to entertain me. So I decided to wait at McCafe while awaiting the confirmation of the 1st job interview as well as the contract to be worked out. Afraid that the phone might ring inside my bag, I took it out. Next moment, it rang!!! My consultant wanted to meet me to sign the contract.
On my way, back to the recruitment agency to sign the contract, there were 3 girls giving out flowers. Daisies, if I’m not wrong. They gave a stalk to me too! Orange. *glows* I gleamed with joy. I met the DynamicAsia group again, while on my way down to the office. (2nd meeting)
The flower, that is my second happy thing.
I called my the other consultant. Out for Lunch. Alright, too bad, I have to call back later.
I made my way up to the office to sign the contract. Then I was told they want to extend my contract to 4 months. Which means I am gonna work till 31 July 2008. Now, I can maximise my time. Great.
That is my third happy thing.
I met the DynamicAsia group again, while on my way walking back to Orchard. (3rd meeting, THEY ARE STILL THERE!!!)
Then while walking down, my shawl drop without me realising it. 2 Caucasians tourists pointed out to me. Then another 2 male tourists/foreigners picked up my shawl for me. How sweet. Then another 2 aunties gorgeous ladies gave me another 3 more stalks of daisies!!! INSTANTLY, I felt like I was flying!!! 4 stalks leh! 2 orange, 1 red and 1 pink! SO SWEET can?
4 stalks of flowers, that is my fourth happy thing.
I waited and waited for a guy to give me daisies. But all I ever received was roses. I understand it the thought that counts, but sometimes, it’s the thought, the craving of wanting someone to give me daisies, got over me. Now that I finally received them, it doesn’t matter which other person give it to me already.
I just remembered looking at the 4 stalks of daisies, smiling on the train from Somerset to Farrer Park. I drop by to get my parents’ favourite beehoon since I am in a good mood today. Then carrying the packet of beehoon, 4 stalks of flowers, my40+ pockets clear folder, handbag with the shawl tightly tied onto it, I made my way home.
Beehoon for myself and my mum and dad. To share my happiness with them.
That is my fifth happy thing.
Looking at the flowers inside the clear, glass vase, the pain on my arm, doesn’t feel as painful anymore.

Just that on a down note, I misplaced the handphone pouch that he gave me. My mum was commenting it yesterday, in the hospital that my handphone pouch was too small for my “huge” N76, and that is spoilt already. (The thread are out.) And today, it’s gone. Sighs.
